Permanent Makeup & Microblading Eyebrows

A brow treatment is a three–part process usually completed within two appointments. The price you are quoted will include all three stages.

THE CONSULTATION

The first part of the process is a consultation. This is normally done as part of your initial treatment, but can be done separately if you prefer. I will talk with you in great detail about the look you are trying to achieve and what we might recommend to you. This is very much a two-way conversation. We listen, we respond, we advise.  Once I have an idea of the look you are aiming for, I draw the brows on with a makeup pencil. These can be drawn on and adjusted 50 times if necessary! We will never begin the tattoo process until you are completely happy with what they are going to look like.

MICROBLADING TREATMENT

Using a state of the art microblading tool, tiny precision hair strokes are created by hand, mimicking the natural direction and lengths of your brows. Pigments are then implanted into the channels created by the microblades in the dermal layer of the skin. The sensation is similar to a little scratch but you should not feel any discomfort. As with the permanent makeup treatment the area will look 20-30% darker than the colour you have chosen in consultation, but this will fade within 3-4 days to reveal your chosen colour. The treatment generally takes around 1-2 hours and will leave you with highly defined, ultra-realistic looking brows.

PERMANENT MAKEUP TREATMENT

Using a specialist facial tattooing machine, which works at a much lower frequency than a standard tattoo machine, I gently apply pigment to the skin using very fine needles. The sensation is that of an electric toothbrush being held against your skin – you feel the vibrations but you should not feel any discomfort. I will always work with you at this stage, giving you breaks if you need them. The process normally takes about 1-2 hours, but it varies from person to person depending on your individual requirements. Immediately after a brow treatment you should expect the area to look 20-30% darker than the colour you have chosen in consultation. This will start to fade after 3-4 days.

THE RETOUCH

A second appointment is needed 4-12 weeks after your first treatment. This is usually a 15-60 minutes appointment to add more pigment to the brow area. This is because as the area is healing, some parts may not ‘hold’ as well as others and you may have a few patches that need more colour. This is completely normal and everyone heals differently. Whatever the case, I advise you always come back to clinic for your retouch.

Vicky first trained in HD Brows in 2013, she became a master Brow stylist and then became an Elite HD Brow trainer. Although she is no longer a trainer for the company as it took up too much time, and everyone knows the salon is her baby.
In 2014 Vicky trained in Microblading and wanted to learn the machine method, so she took the plunge and trained with Karen Betts Elite training team, known as the leaders in semi permanent make up. The course was not for the faint hearted and took almost 12 months to complete. Since then Vicky has also completed KB Pro Advanced Artistry course meaning she can offer Ombre brows and more. Soon Vicky is hoping to delve further into the Semi Permanent Make Up world. Watch This Space ...
